CLASP was founded in 1975 by working parents in Great Neck to provide affordable, quality child care for children whose parents work or attend school or training programs. Our goal has always been to become part of each child’s extended family, supporting all aspects of children's growth in a relaxed, nurturing environment.

CLASP’s After School Program is geared for students whose parents work or attend school or training programs. Transportation to CLASP is provided from each elementary school, and children may remain until 6:30 pm. Lunch is served to all kindergarteners and snacks are given to all children.

CLASP’s Early Childhood Program provides a caring, unpressured environment to foster individual growth within a group setting. Our experienced staff, sensitive to the needs of young children, and  in knowledgeable early childhood development, offer an ideal first step in early education combined with full day nurturance.

CLASP’s Breakfast Club opens each morning at 7:30 am and is the perfect program for elementary school children whose parents leave for work before the public schools open. After breakfast, transportation is provided to school. The breakfast club may be combined with CLASP’s after school and camp Program to provide your child with a full day of quality care and education, throughout the year.

When the school year ends, the CLASP Summer Program begins! CLASP’s 10 week program features 6 weeks of after-camp care with transportation from the Great Neck school camps. Children learn and grow with special summer games and activities including sports, arts & crafts, gardening, trips to local parks and beaches.
