May 2008
As part of our agenda to bring new and fresh
ideas to the Great Neck Chamber of Commerce, the “Speed” Networking Event
was held, for the first time ever, on Wednesday, April 2nd, at the Granite
Building, 1999 Marcus Avenue in Lake Success. Many of our local business men
and women, professionals and officials seized the opportunity to meet and
discuss their businesses and interests in a fast-paced, innovative
environment. As each whistle blew, you were able to move to another table to
meet new individuals and network through discussion and the passing out of
business cards. The feedback from this event was very positive and the
Chamber plans to have more business-friendly and fun events. This was an
opportunity not to have been missed!
Our events require a great amount of planning and assistance to achieve
success. I thank all who contribute their time and resources and welcome
your input and participation at Chamber functions. Be an active part of our
business community!
Our future plans are to bring new and innovative ideas to our breakfast
meetings, provide more business-oriented proactive speakers at our events
and to further assist new businesses. We are reaching out to prominent
businesses to come to Great Neck to see what we have to offer. Great Neck
has one of the most successful business districts on Long Island with
upscale boutiques, diverse and dazzling restaurants and an outstanding group
of professionals of all disciplines.
I wish everyone a fabulous spring season! If you have any suggestions or
ideas, you are welcome to e-mail me at
